Day One - Trip to Forks

I have been lucky enough for DreamsOfEdward and mamaeve to let me blog about my trip to Forks, Washington (home of Twilight - as if you didn't know). Today was day one of my cross-country road trip. Before I hit the sheets with Sparkleward (he is along for the journey) I wanted to give you a quick breakdown of today's events: I had to get my hair cut and colored so I ended up leaving two hours late and was punished for my transgression by sitting idly on the interstate for THREE hours in accident traffic. It rained the entire drive so I guess Mother Nature is preparing me for Forks. I went past Edwardsville, Indiana; Jasper, Illinois - Robertsville, Missouri and past Rosalie's Masonry in Springfield, MO. The whole damned country can be tied to Twilight. LOL. This leg of the journey I am driving alone, but Sparkleward is keeping me company. We have been listening to "Water For Elephants" on CD for our next book club. And let me just say, Rob is a dirty man h00r. Every movie he makes seems to be majorly pervy. You should read this. My goal was to make it to Oklahoma City tonight but I had to stop and catch some zzzzzzs before I hit the Sooner State. Tomorrow it is on to OKC, Denver and Salt Lake City. Sparkleward will be appearing in pictures along the way.

  1. Enjoy! The Washington Peninsula is beautiful. Drive over into the Skagit Valley and go through Whidbey Island to the Ferry terminal going to Port Townsend...then drive from Port Townsend to Forks that way...the most gorgeous drive. Going through Olympia and then cutting over is just not as beautiful. Forks itself is very small and very unpopulated, but it's still fun to go over.
