Day Six - Forks Road Trip

It's hard to believe we only have one more day in Forks. But this has been the best vacation ever and everyone should do it with their besties. We are already planning our return in two years. Today the sun was shining most of the day and we started it off with a trip to First Beach. I am amazed at the anger of the waves in the Pacific Ocean but the raw beauty of it as well. I saw my first otter in the wild today and that was pretty awesome. We headed back into town and had a Bella Burger and Shamrock Cyclone Shake at Sully's and that burger is to die for. Also, the staff were out of this world friendly. Every single person we have encountered in Forks have been nothing but warm and friendly. Our afternoon was spent in The Hoh Rainforest, which is, beyond a shadow of a doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and so peaceful. It was amazing to see the rain begin to fall, yet never have it touch your face. There was no drum night at La Push, much to our disappointment. A tribal elder died and it was cancelled. Instead I taught the group to make my mom's chicken and dumplings and the eight of us made our meal and enjoyed it together before winding down in the hot tub. This is a vacation you MUST take. It is beyond Twilight. It is about friendship and love and small town hospitality.
