Vote for Robert Pattinson as the 'King of Summer'

EW.com burst Robert Pattinson fan's bubbles last night when they announced that Ian Somerhaider's character from the Vampire Diaries, Damon Salvatore, had beat Pattinson's Twilight character, Edward Cullen, in the Sexiest Beast Bracket Game by a mere 3,902 votes.

Fans from both camps spent the past few weeks rallying for votes on Facebook and Twitter. Although there was no victory for Team Edward this time around, Pattinson fans now have another opportunity to crown their favorite star with a summer title.

Eonline.com just announced round 2 of the King of Summer 2010 contest. Fans can go here to vote. The original 16 contestant list has been voted down to 8, and now it's the job of fans to decide which 4 men will go on to compete in round 3 next week. Rob has some tough competition in this round, as he is taking on True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard.

Head over to E! and vote today! The round 3 contestants will be announced on August 30.
