"Twilight" has brought an estimated $65.5 million into Baton Rouge


BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Movie productions spent almost $200 million in the Capital City in 2010.
Nearly two-thirds of the money came from two films, "Twilight: Breaking Dawn" and "Battleship," a sci-fi movie based on the Milton Bradley Board game.

"Twilight" brought an estimated $65.5 million into Baton Rouge, while spending on "Battleship" totaled $67.6 million.

State records show that "Twilight" is estimated to spend another $33 million in 2011 as filming continues.

Altogether, 26 film and television projects were made in Baton Rouge last year.
