A represntative wrote in to tell us that, “Recently, our company created a video featuring Booboo Stewart, Edi Gathegi, and Jackson Rathbone at the backstage Teen Choice Awards lounge sponsored by TJ Maxx. These three and many other celebrities (such as Beverly Mitchell, Verne Troyer, Kevin McHale, and Quinton Aaron) swung by the lounge to help Save the Children, a non-profit organization that aims to create lasting, positive change in the lives of children around the world and in our local communities. Kiowa Gordon to be in horror anthology film

Horror thesps invited to a 'Gathering'

Treasure Entertainment, in association with Highland Myst Entertainment, is aiming to bring together a host of high-profile horror actors in "The Gathering," led by Doug Bradley, Udo Kier and William Sadler.
Producers Mark Heidelberger ("Harsh Times") and Jesse Felsot are in talks with Robert Englund (the original Freddy Krueger) and Linda Blair of "The Exorcist" to join the project, set to go into production late this year or in early 2011.

Jon Keeyes ("American Nightmare") has been tapped to direct from Carl Kirshner's script, set up as a horror anthology containing half a dozen stories.

Thesps signed to appear include Bill Moseley, Danielle Harris, Clint Howard, David Naughton, Billy Drago, Larry Fessenden, Debbie Rochon, Adrienne King, Brian O'Halloran, Lin Shaye, Ellen Sandweiss, Brinke Stevens and Kiowa Gordon from the "Twilight" pics.

The pic's framing story, "The Storytellers," is set on Halloween night with the devil bringing together Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, H.P. Lovecraft and Mary Shelley in a competition to tell the most frightening untold tale with the winner receiving the opportunity to leave purgatory forever.

The anthology's other entries include stories centered on cemeteries, vampires, a possessed dummy, zombies, a runaway daughter and a horror-movie fanatic with a terminal disease.

FABLife Interview with Kiowa Gordon!

We hopped on the phone this week with Twilight Saga star Kiowa Gordon, who is best known for playing Jacob Black’s werewolf BFF Embry in everyone’s favorite uber-franchise. Did you know Kiowa scored the role (out of thousands) at an open audition, after Stephenie Meyer - his friend from church - encouraged him to give it a go? That should tell you how much talent this kid’s got tucked away in his back pocket.

Kiowa - who will be at Comic-Con this weekend! - was gracious enough to gab with us for a while about shooting those barefoot werewolf scenes (they have special foot padding!), his musical aspirations with his band Touche and his favorite lady character in the Twilight Saga. Hint: he likes his real-life girlfriend

Actor Kiowa Gordon says he owes his career to 'Twilight'

Kiowa Gordon says the "Twilight" phenomenon has been "very good" to him.

In fact, according to the 20-year-old actor, "I owe my entire career, at least to this point, to 'Twilight,' and I'm very grateful for that."

In the movies, which are based on author Stephenie Meyer's best-selling fantasy romance novels, Gordon plays Embry Call, one of the friends, or "wingmen," of Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

Gordon, a newcomer at the time, got the much-coveted part due in part to a lucky break. He is a member of Meyer's LDS Church ward in Arizona, and "when she told me they were casting for the movie, I jumped at the opportunity."

And he said he has enjoyed the chance to play a "strong" Native American character in the film. Gordon is a member of Arizona's Hualapai tribe, which is probably best known for maintaining and operating the Grand Canyon's "Skywalk."

"I love being able to honor my roots and my heritage, especially in movies that are so hugely popular," he said by telephone from Los Angeles.

Gordon said his mother and manager, Camille Nighthorse, has been responsible for his cultural upbringing.

And that will certainly be on Gordon's mind when he appears in Utah this weekend. He is one of the celebrity participants in the Native American Celebration Golf Tournament in Lehi July 23. And on July 24, Pioneer Day, he's appearing at the 16th annual Intertribal Competition Powwow in Liberty Park.

Gordon will be signing autographs in the afternoon and will be joined by other Native American entertainers, including his mother and actor/stuntman Patrick Shining Elk.

Gordon said he is "looking forward to enjoying the traditional music and entertainment."

In fact, he said he is a fan of many different music styles. He describes his band, Touche, as "progressive metal."

He and Touche got to perform at the red-carpet premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" earlier this year.

"It was fun to play our music in front of that many people," he recalled, adding that "my co-stars were even dancing on stage while we played."
