Robert Pattinson grew so close to a dog on the set of WFE he has asked to adopt it.

The hunky actor is currently working on Water for Elephants which is about a handsome young veterinarian who joins the circus and also stars Reese Witherspoon. Robert had to shoot several scenes with a Jack Russell terrier, and got so attached to the pooch he has decided to give him a new home.

“The trainer said yes, but that it would cost Rob because he’s a show dog with special acting skills,” an insider giggled. “Rob laughed and said he’d pay whatever. He loves that little pooch.”

It is unknown when Robert will be allowed to take the mutt home, or what he has decided to name him.

The actor and Reese have got on famously on set, amazing movie bosses with the strong relationship they have forged. The pair became close as soon as they met at a table reading, and have enjoyed every moment of working together.

“Their chemistry is magic,” an insider reported. “They joke a lot and Rob has her blushing and laughing all the time. He's very charming. He went on about how she is this beautiful, super-famous Academy Award winner, and Reese loved it.

“She was flattered and giggling while he teased. It's cute and it makes for a great movie set. Everyone is excited because they fit so well together."

WFE Extra talks about her Experience!

It was 2:30am when I was rudely awaken by my alarm, Today Was A Fairytale by Taylor Swift. Little did I know that was exactly what my day would be, a fairytale. I was up and on the road by 3:00am on my way to Fox Studios to make my 3:48am call time. Once I arrived, I walked to check-in where Kate was sitting in her usual spot behind the table handing out vouchers. Next, it was on to wardrobe where I dressed in my vintage 1930’s light pink dress that was meant to make me look 13 years old.

Then, just like any other day on the Water for Elephants set, I made my way to hair and make-up where they would do virtually nothing to me except put bows in my long braided pig tales (I was one of the lucky few that did not have to put curlers in their hair the night before to achieve the 1930’s up-do). I walked back to holding to wait for the long day of shooting to begin.

The sun had almost completely risen when it was time to go.

WFE extra talks about his experience on the set and Rob playing Jacob

Cody Wood, one of the Water For Elephants extras, decided to share his experience on the set of the movie and talked a bit about Rob playing Jacob.

I'm posting only the part where he talks about Rob. You can read his amazing experience (parts 1 and 2) HERE

Francis Lawrence, the director, sat under a black awning against the circus bleachers. His face was calm with a slight smile of satisfaction as he watched the footage. He exchanged words with the AD (Assistant Director). Almost immediately I heard the cue: “Pictures up!” A pause. “And BACKGROUND!” On background we all began the exhilarating sprint from danger once more. A plume of dust rose from our pounding feet and swirled around the swinging lamps. Wind pushed the top of the tent up and down like waves. As the motion of canvas, lamps, and people rushed about, the enormous elephant stood calmly in the center of the ring. “And CUT! Thank you folks! Good job.”

On my walk back across the circus floor I noticed a new excitement. There was no audible noise but something seemed different. When I came around the last large tent pole Pattinson had appeared at the end of the menagerie. I heard the start of the AD’s instructions. “Rob, we’re going to have you….” The young actor looked controlled and confident even while hundreds of Rubes tried to secretly glance in his direction. Most of the cast had arrived at their original mark but I was still walking. Fortuitously I was placed near the entrance to the tent just a few feet from where Rob was now standing.

While the cinematographer gathered lighting calculations I was instructed to wait for Rob to hit his second mark and run past him going out the menagerie. Again, the speed at which the cues came was surprising. The AD instructed, “Pictures Up, and Background”. On “background” the crowd began the stampede away from the menagerie. A third cue came for Rob and on “action” he became Jacob Jankowski. He took a slow step toward the running crowd and looked on with awe. He took another step and scanned the crowd left to right. From behind the camera I sprinted as fast as I could just past Jacob. The crowd was still screaming and running in the other direction. I hopped to my right to avoid a tent pole and stopped dead. My breath was gone and my eyes were frozen. A few feet in front of me stood an enormous buffalo. Dark thick fur covered the entire animal except for the large blood-shot eyes that looked directly at me. I methodically moved each foot backward while the stampede continued on in the tent. Finally the word “Cut” came bellowing out from the tent and gladly moved back to safety.

Rob was smiling at the director. He was obviously tickled by the intensity and size of the stampede. The entire experience was authentic. There were peanuts scattered on the ground and popcorn boxes tipped in the bleachers. Along the menagerie a host of animals did their part to make the scene possible and center ring the massive elephant stood like royalty. There was so much to take in that the twelve hour day passed like minutes.

After a long drive home I dropped onto the couch. My feet were sore and I could still taste a little dust but I couldn’t stop thinking about what the next day would have in store...

Robert Pattinson 'bitten by lion'

Robert Pattinson has revealed that he was bitten by a lion on the set of his new film, but the "gentle" animal had no teeth.

A lion clamped his jaws around the Twilight star's arm but the actor escaped without injury because the creature was being friendly.

Pattinson, who plays a circus worker in Francis Lawrence's film Water for Elephants, was required to shoot scenes with a number of animals.

According to WENN, he said: "Almost every day I’m working with an exotic animal… It’s insane, like I got bitten on the arm by a lion with no teeth.

"They were like, ‘It’s fine, he does it all the time’. And I was like, ‘Erm, OK…’ But they had to get him to do it harder, because he was being so gentle and just licking my arm."

Robert Pattinson & Reese Witherspoon Dance (And Kiss) In 'Water For Elephants' Stills

Despite taking a brief break to greet fans alongside Kristen Stewart at an IMAX screening of "Eclipse" in Los Angeles yesterday, Robert Pattinson has been hard at work in LA filming "Water for Elephants." Well, that hard work seems to be paying off, since some pretty sweet stills of him and Reese Witherspoon hit the web over the holiday weekend.

The stills catch Rob as leading man Jacob Jankowski in a romantic moment with Reese's Marlena Rosenbluth. There are plenty of behind-the-scenes photos, but the ones that really caught our eye are of Rob and Reese dancing and -- OME! -- making out.

The scene captured follows Jacob and Marlena running out of a club after a police raid, since "Water for Elephants" takes place during prohibition.

After they escape, they start dancing in the street together, which explains all those aerial shots of them holding hands.

Then there's that smooch, which we're guessing comes after the dancing sequence, but we could be wrong.

 

We're loving Rob's tux and Reese's red dress, and really can't wait to see the two of them get cozy on the big screen. However, we doubt Marlena's husband August (played by Christoph Waltz) is going to be too happy about that smooch or the way Jacob was shaking his you-know-what with his wife, so we're sure there are going to be some dramatic scenes coming after this one.

So that's why Robert Pattinson missed UK Twilight: Eclipse premiere... he was too busy working

As thousands of 'Twi-hards' descended on London's Leicester Square last night for the UK premiere of Twilight Saga: Eclipse, there were several big names conspicuously absent.

The film franchise's main actors Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner... and perhaps the most controversial absentee of all, Robert Pattinson, were all missing from the red carpet.

Despite being the ensemble cast's only Londoner, the 24-year-old was unable to leave the Los Angeles set of Water For Elephants.

So while disappointed Pattinson fans had to contend themselves with other Twilight eye candy Kellan Lutz and Alex Meraz, the actor himself was thousands of miles away making his new movie.

In contrast to his pasty, big-haired vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight films, the actor was looked dapper in a Twenties-style suit with his shorter haircut swept to the side.

Also on location in downtown LA was his co-star Reece Witherspoon, who was dressed to the nine in a red dress and a curly blonde bob.

So while Pattinson was working, his lesser-known Twilight co-stars Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed were holding the fort in London.

While Pattinson's absence from the UK premiere has been public knowledge for several weeks, some fans expressed their disappointment over his no-show through T-shirts and signs.

Robert Pattinson – And the Oscar 2011 for the Best Male goes to…

Robert Pattinson is just two and a half years old face in the Hollywood film industry, if you consider the most prominent roles only, and he has already made it so huge for himself in terms of popularity and fame.

And if that’s not enough for the 24 year old Brit, his acting performances in the upcoming flick “Water for Elephants” might get him an Oscar the next year!

If sources like Hollywood Life etc. are to be believed, Robert’s performance in his upcoming flick has been outstanding and mind-blowing. It has been so praiseworthy by Pattinson that this year’s Oscar winner for the supporting role, Christoph Waltz feels that he may end up handing his golden statute to the Brit hunk next year!

All the insiders and co-workers of Rob in “Water for Elephants” feel that Rob’s work in the movie is actually head-turning and it is gonna be a landmark in Rob’s film career. The movie is itself going to be a masterpiece and to watch Pattinson is a completely different image would certainly be a real entertainment.

A source specifically added that he wouldn’t be surprised if RPattz walks away with the 84th Academy Awards in 2011 for the Best Actor in a Leading Role for “Water for Elephants”!

And we donno whom to give the credit for the same… Francis Lawrence the filmmaker, or the hunky actor himself!
