"Robert Pattinson perfect for 'Anonymous.'"

“Anonymous,” the decorated cult classic from Jason Tanamor, also Editor of Zoiks! Online, is looking to be made into a movie. The novel is dedicated to Chuck Palahniuk, who was the inspiration behind the novel. “Palahniuk’s stories aren’t like ones you see every day. However, they are real stories that happen to real people. With ‘Anonymous,’ I wanted to touch on stories that happen to real people that were not only interesting, but important. This book is similar to Palahniuk in the respect that the style and themes are similar. However, it stands on its own as an entertaining and intense story,” said Tanamor.

Tanamor added that the novel began as a short story written for “Playboy” magazine. “The editors didn’t like it,” Tanamor said, “but gave me enough criticism to keep at it. So, I wrote another story. Again, nothing came out of it. I had a couple stories with a common thread that ultimately became ‘Anonymous.’”

As for trying to get it from print to big screen, Tanamor said that a certain “Twilight” actor would be perfect for the lead role as narrator. “(Robert) Pattinson is currently being portrayed, unfairly, as a one dimensional actor because of Edward’s demeanor,” Tanamor said. “But what he actually does well in the movie is play to the character’s strengths and weaknesses. When people see him in other films they’ll be surprised of his range of acting.”

New Xavier Samuel 'Anonymous' set pic!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Xavier Samuel joked quite a bit about his transition from "Riley" in the Saga to a long haired blonde in Anonymous while at the Official Twilight Convention stop in Los Angeles, and now a photograph from the set has revealed what he looks like in costume as "Southhampton."

The photo comes from Screenrant, which reports that the film has gotten a U.S. release date of March 25, 2011.

The film's description, according to the director, is as follows: "It’s a mix of a lot of things: it’s a historical thriller because it’s about who will succeed Queen Elizabeth and the struggle of the people who want to have a hand in it. It’s the Tudors on one side and the Cecils on the other, and in between [the two] is the Queen. Through that story we tell how the plays written by the Earl of Oxford ended up labeled ‘William Shakespeare’."

Xavier Samuel and Jamie Campbell Bower set to star in Anonymous

Australian actor Xavier Samuel, whose career has suddenly skyrocketed after playing the role of Riley in the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, has booked his latest role in a political thriller from writer John Orloff.

Xavier will portray the character Earl of Southhampton in a story that exams the truth behind those famous penned William Shakespeare plays and the downfall of Queen Elizabeth I. Recently speaking out about his role in the drama:

“It’s about the authorship of Shakespeare’s plays, but also perhaps even more so about the relationship between art and politics and how they can impact each other. I got to play this guy called the Earl of Southampton, a really honorable, loyal young man who’s a patron of the theater that ends up, because of his loyalties to the Earl of Essex, staging a rebellion. It’s kind of cool to go from an evil vampire to an Elizabethan aristocrat.”
